Marie Kallevik Straume (1992) is an actor and clown from Stavanger, Norway. She is a graduate of the two-year professional course at École Jaques Lecoq and classical acting semester at LAMDA.

After studying at Lecoq, Marie developed an interest in clowning and physical comedy. Marie has since trained at École Gaulier, with Spymonkey and Angela de Castro. Marie has also assisted de Castro’s clown workshop during London Mime Festival.

Marie is often to be seen on stage with her clown partner Anna Marie Simonsen - both as clown hosts in the queer cabaret Naughty Cabaret and in the two-troll clown show Troll (★★★★ The Guardian). The Telegraph describes Anna Marie and Marie as “two very charming clowns” and The Wee Review as “queens of the ridiculous” . Troll is directed and co- created with Cecily Nash and the show has been on tour in Australia, USA and in Europe since 2023.

Marie is also curating Norway Clown Festival in Oslo together with Amanda Tunsberg and Anna Marie Simonsen.

In Stavanger, Marie is a founding member, performer and producer in the theatre companies Mågå and Nebb.

Marie has received a work grant from Arts Council Norway for the years 2024-2025 and 2022.
